What does it look like for a child to be a victim of modern slavery?

1. What does it look like for a child to be a victim of modern slavery?

The problem is that children are trapped in forced marriages, brothels, factories, and homes where they are unsafe. Rather than having a childhood and freedom, these children are forced to work. It must be stopped.

2. Why does it happen?

Poverty makes many children vulnerable to violence and modern slavery. A business that relies on child labor is financially more lucrative because children can be controlled and are cheaper than adults. Furthermore, children are more easily hidden, silenced, and manipulated.

3. How do we stop it?

Every society must end child slavery. Social and legal consequences must be stricter for those who exploit and abuse children.

Innovations HTC is working to end child slavery and child trafficking so every child has the opportunity to thrive.
